Commissions

Tue May 15, 2007, 7:52 AM
Yes, I am currently taking commissions.
Here is the pricing I have worked out. I decide the price, but here is a general overview of around about what it would be, which varies a little depening on some factors listed:

[[Note that it may vary over time as I progress and learn more about this; this is my first real time doing it outside of family and friends, so got a lot to learn... extra advice is appreciated!]]

:bulletblue: Good quality sketch or lineart - up to £5, depending on subject and size.

:bulletblue: Colured pencil or watercolour (character(s)/scene) - £5-10 depending on subject, size and detail.

:bulletblue: Coloured pencil or watercolour (character(s)/scene) with background - £10-15, depending on detail and subject of background and foreground.
[[Example of £10 piece, little background with character [link]

:bulletblue: People and pet portraits -
*Detailed pencil drawing - £10-20 depending on subject
[[Example - something along the lines of this, in terms of detail: [link]
[[Example 2 - £15ish piece [link]
*Detailed coloured drawing - £20 (maybe a little more or less) depending on subject.
**Photograph reference is required!**

:bulletred: Payment is done through Paypal only (or if you know me, cash is fine too:P)

I work traditionally, primarily with pencil, charcoal, coloured pencil and watercolour. These are the mediums which I am most experienced with, and although I do dabble into other mediums, these are the only ones I am offering for commissions at the moment. My general strength is natural forms such as landscapes, animals, humans, plants, flowers etc, so keep that in mind before you ask me to draw like, a car or something xD.
On requesting a commission, just tell me which medium you would like it done in and unless i've run out or something, it should be ok:P

Generally, description and/or a reference is required of exactly what you want (especially for characters), and I will try my best to meet the demand. If you haven't given me a detailed anough desc., and it doesn't look just how you imagined, please don't blame me - if you want it to look just how you imagine, you must explain it to me in detail.
With anything more than a sketch, I will usually send you some pictures of the first sketches of the piece just to confirm that it looks how you want it to. Then I will begin colouring etc.

So, just a summary:
On the note or message that you send me, please include descriptions of what you want, any other details about it, what medium you would like it done in, and if there is a specific deadline then that as well (note that I might not always be able to meet that deadline depending on when it is!).

Notes or messages sent to me here on dA;
You can email or MSN me on Jessi-loo@hotmail.co.uk,
