Just spent about 40 minutes slowly uploading all my recent work from A2, I haven't been checking dA for a few months and I seem to be clogged up with messages and deviations.. i will try and get through them all eventually :/

Things are going really well for me atm
Just got past some of the January exams I have to take for psychology and sociology, which is a great relief as I was stressing a bit. Wasn't as bad as I expected

So from now until Easter, its just coursework for me in English lit and Art, which is fantastic because I love coursework. Getting a real chance to work on my art properly, I'm sure this project is going to be better than the last now that I know what I'm doing.
Going to be getting some of my work for that up here, because sometimes It feels like I never put up enough art to show for the work i've been doing.

Oh yeah, and this is my first entry of 2009! Hope anyone whos reading had a great new year

Haven't updated this for a while.. in fact I haven't actually been on dA for a while (flooded with messages/deviations!)

College has been brilliant so far, I'm loving it so much There is much more work to do, but its still great to be there.
It also means i've not been doing much personal art, instead putting all my energy/time into my A level Art. Ive decided to put some of that work up for a bit, and might move to scraps later.
Hopefully I will be able to get on with some more art nearer Christmas time.

GCSE results finally came through
I was so pleased with them all, some of them I didn't even need that bad and I achieved much better than expected I got top grades in English, art, textiles, ICT and history which was so brilliant to find out, the rest of them were solid As or Bs (even maths! o.O)

Anyway - I cannot wait to get to college now! I'm going to love it so much there
I'm getting on OK with my current sketchbook project for my A level, there's a collection of sketches for you to see on my blog [link] if you like.

I'll also be starting some personal pieces soon, as I promised myself I'd spend some time making art for myself, and not solely for others.

For now though, well done to everyone who got their results

Just a quick update as to whats going on at the moment.

Firstly, went on a tryout day for college next year - everything was fantastic! I am looking forward to it so much

The art teacher gave us a small project, which was to fill a sketchbook full of direct observations, plants and so on. Was very glad to have been given some kind of occupation over the next 6 weeks to at least keep me a bit busy!

Secondly, I've been given a commission to work on for my boyfriend's family which is a copy of another picture. Posting my progress pics here [link] , All going well I hope to finish by the end of this week, that will be up here.

Another thing that's happened is the Young Illustrator's competition is re-opening for this year, deadline date is around October. I'm considering trying again for it (especially as it would be great to earn a bit more cash!) but still trying to get my head around the themes at the moment:

# The Day the Aliens Took over My School
# Leave Me Alone
# If Only I Had Not...

which are all a bit weird!
